Pucon’s Spanish Language School

The "Centro de Idiomas Language Pucon" started as a project of several language teachers, all of them with years of experience in teaching Spanish. The teachers are native Spanish speakers, learning spanish abroad at the Pucon language school, tailor made classes,one.on-one or one-on-twobut also speak English. Of course, the language used in classes is Spanish.

In order to obtain maximum results within a short time, and spend your precious vacation time in the most effective way, we focus on teaching one on one or one on two. By this, we adjust the material and learning speed to your individual needs and learning abilities. Group classes are available from November to March.

Study Spanish in Chile For those who wish to immerse themselves completely in the Spanish language we offer homestay programs: for the time of your classes you live with a Chilean family. Being confronted with the Spanish language all day long really improves your comprehension and fluency. The homestay families are carefully chosen, not only offering "bed and  breakfast", but sharing their lives with you for the time of your stay.
Pucon is the center of outdoor activities and adventure tourism in the Lakes district. It is a nice small town, easy to navigate on foot. The school is situated too blocks from main street (O' Higgins), in front of the hospital. All homestay families are within a 15 minutes walking distance from the school; anyway, we provide bicycles for the homestay guests.

Meet the Teachers  

 

Karin Malonnek, having tought Spanish for 18 years is responsible for the materials used in our group and private programs. She's been teaching Spanish as foreign language for 8 years in Germany, before she returned to her home country. Teaching mostly the one on one intensive classes.

 

Gloria Palermino was born in Santiago where she studied and worked as a master in ceramics , especially focused in the art and culture of the Andes. She has lived in Pucon for the past 15 years, and has been teaching at Language Pucon for the last 4. She shows great flexibility in finding new and fun ways to overcome the students difficulties.
She is teaching one-on-one and group classes.

 

Patricia Gebauer studied Education and English in Santiago and Valdivia and has lived in Pucon for 11 years. At Language Pucon she teaches English and Spanish at all levels and especially enjoys the cultural interchange.

Loreley Gómez is an experienced English and Spanish teacher, she has taught English in Santiago, and has taught both English and Spanish while living with her husband in the USA for 8 years. Her experience allows her to teach classes from beginners to advanced levels.
